Kendenup Arena. 20-23rd of April

  It almost always rains at the Kendenup arena trial and this year was no exception. For the first two days of the trial it was actually too warm, but the rain arrived Sat afternoon and continued into the night and most of Sunday, creating uncomfortable conditions for everyone, although  the dogs didnt mind the much cooler conditions.

Kendenup is also known for its great Sat evening dinners and the Kendenup Golf club did not disappoint.

The sheep were crossbreds and were tricky to work. They were not keen to come down the ground and took every opportunity to race back towards the letouts. Once worked around the winding pegs and through the first obstacle they tended to settle and were quite good obstacle sheep.

There were 40 entries in the novice, 34 in the improver and 54 in the open.

Encourage was won by C. Rose with Coshies Charm.
