The second trial of the year was held at Ken and Jenny Athertons property “Yallambee” 13kms North of Arthur river on the Albany Highway.

It was once again run on a supreme course. 

The sheep for the novice and Improver were a Composite mix and were challenging to work. Bringing them down the ground was not easy as they were keen to get back to the letouts, or out into the paddock. However they were good through the first two obstacles once one got them in front of it. The pen was a difficult obstacle, the sheep did not want to go in and many good runs bit the dirt here.

The open sheep were Dohnes and were a little calmer to work, but also heavier and some dogs struggled to move them.

The weather was pleasant and mainly sunny, apart from the last day, when it became cloudy and windy.
