Binnaburra usually has fairly chilly weather but this year it was milder than usual, It got a little chilly on the Fri and Saturday but nothing like we come to expect.

There was some welcome rain on the Thursday and Friday, as it has been a dry year, so the sheep were a little sticky in the yards for a while.

Sheep were mainly very good but if they chose to run and jump the fence there was no stopping them. This caused the downfall of a few triallers.

In the yard they generally flowed quite well, and there were some high scores. Outside they were tricky, but if held together worked well.

The hardest part was letting out the five penned sheep and working them away from the yard section. They were fairly keen to bolt back to the yards and join their mates, leaping the fence in spectacular fashion.

There was a tie and a run off in the novice yard and the open yard.

Entries were higher than usual, so it was necessary to run only six dogs in the open finals instead of the usual 12.

There were 35 entries in the novice Utility, 42 in the novice yard, 37 in the open utility and 34 in the improver/open yard.

Utility scores were out of 105, novice yard scores were out of 55. Open yard out of 100.
